How to Apply for Transportation

  1. Log into the PowerSchool Parent Portal
  2. Click Student Fees and Forms in the left menu
  3. Select your student’s name
  4. Open the Transportation Application form
  5. Complete the form
  6. Choose a payment option (see below)
  7. Go to your shopping cart and complete payment (Applications without payment will not be received or processed).

Payment Options

You must select a payment option before submitting your application:

  • Pay 50% now (minimum required to apply)
  • Pay 100% in full
  • Choose a monthly payment plan (only available if your total fee is over $150)

After You Apply: What Happens Next

Before you can view busing information, be sure to follow the steps below:

Important to Know❗
You won’t get an email, call, or alert when your child’s bus is assigned. You must log in to the Bus Planner Parent Portal and check for updates.

1. Set Up Your Bus Planner Parent Portal

Create an account or sign in at bgrs.mybusplanner.ca

Once you have added your children using their Student ID from PowerSchool, you’ll be able to see:

  • Bus number
  • Stop location
  • Pick-up and drop-off times

STAR Catholic and New Humble families, please email to request your child's student ID if not known.

2. Regularly Check Bus Planner

Registered by June 30?

Registered after June 30?

3. Download the Bus Status 4 App

Stay informed about delays and cancellations in real time:

• Once your child’s bus is assigned:
 – ⭐ Star the route
 – 🔔 Turn on notifications for real-time updates


When and How Your Child Will Receive Their Bus Pass

Grades K–3:
📬 Bus passes will be mailed to your home before school starts.

Grades 4–12:
📚 Bus passes will be handed out at school during the first week of classes.


Make sure your mailing address is up to date in PowerSchool!
If your address is incorrect, you may not receive your child’s pass on time.

To update your address:

  • During the school year: Contact your child’s school
  • During summer break: Call 780-955-6025 and ask for the Data Team
