Get Information About Bus Passes
How Bus Passes Work
Each bus pass is specific to the student and includes:
• Student’s name
• Assigned bus number
• School name
Students must scan their bus pass every time they board or leave the bus.
This helps with:
• Student safety
• Accurate ridership tracking
• Quickly locating students in an emergency
✔️ Please remind your child to scan their pass consistently.
How and When Bus Passes Are Delivered
Grades K–3
- Bus passes are mailed to your home before school starts.
- Make sure your mailing address is up to date in PowerSchool.
- During the school year: contact your school office
- During summer break: call 780-955-6025 and ask for the Data Team
- Some passes may not arrive before the first day of school, and that’s okay! If your child is registered and their bus assignment is visible in Bus Planner, they may ride the bus without their pass until it arrives.
Grades 4–12
- Bus passes are sent directly to schools and handed out during the first few weeks of classes.
- Students who are registered and have a visible assignment in Bus Planner may ride the bus while waiting to receive their pass.
⚠️ Important Reminder: If you registered, but do not yet see your child’s bus assignment in Bus Planner, they cannot ride the bus until it appears. Please keep checking your account regularly for updates.
Mid-Year Registrations
- A bus pass is required before your child can ride.
- Passes are sent to the school and may take up to one week to arrive.
