Dear Families,

The Alberta Teachers’ Association (ATA) and Teachers’ Employer Bargaining Association (TEBA) will be returning to the bargaining table with the support of an appointed mediator. Their first meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 14. We remain hopeful that a timely resolution can be reached so students and staff can return to classrooms as soon as possible.

In the meantime, schools will begin contacting parents and guardians next week regarding any outstanding forms. Schools and the school offices will remain closed for the duration of the strike. If required, please reach out to the school by email.

We will continue to provide updates and helpful information on our website at www.blackgold.ca/Labour-Action-Updates.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. Our goal remains the same: to welcome students back into safe, supportive learning environments where they can thrive.

With appreciation,

Black Gold School Division
